Champion Mechanical & Automation is a leading integrator, systems designer, and solutions provider for KMC Building Automation, delivering advanced automation and monitoring solutions to clients in Alabama and across North America.

About KMC Controls

Founded in 1969 by Ken Kreuter, KMC Controls began as a manufacturer of damper actuators, pneumatic-electric switches, and logic relays through private-label contracts with OEM partners. Over the years, KMC expanded its product line to include variable air volume controllers and actuators, eventually growing into a 100,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in New Paris, Indiana. By 1996, KMC became a global distributor, driving expansion and product development in international markets. In 1997, the company earned ISO 9001 certification, later upgrading to ISO 9001:2015. A major milestone came in 2004 with the release of KMC’s BACnet® open-protocol controllers, further solidifying its position as a leader in building automation technology. Today, KMC Controls continues to provide cutting-edge automation solutions, prioritizing quality, innovation, and open-platform systems to meet the evolving demands of modern building management.
